He is an Assistant Professor of Bacteriology in the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology at the Federal University of Fluminense. He is a Young Scientist of Our State (JCNE/FAPERJ). He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Fluminense (2005), a Master’s in Veterinary Clinical and Reproductive Medicine from the same institution (2009), a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine (Animal Clinical and Reproductive Medicine) from the Federal University of Fluminense (2013), and completed his postdoctoral research (2014) in the same program.
He has expertise in Veterinary Medicine and Microbiology, with an emphasis on Veterinary Microbiology. His research mainly focuses on the phenotypic and genotypic characterization of Gram-positive bacterial agents prevalent in topical infections in small animals and the phenotypic and genotypic detection of resistance and virulence in Staphylococcusisolates from infectious processes in companion animals.
