The main focus of our group is to understand the factors that modulate T cell differentiation, including the formation of memory T cells, and how this process can be regulated by cytokines and pathogen-derived molecules. The key research topics developed in the laboratory and in collaboration with other research groups in recent years include:
Cytotoxic response mediated by T lymphocytes;
MyD88-dependent signaling pathways in adaptive response;
TLR receptors in trypanosomatid infections;
Development of experimental vaccines using recombinant fd phages as vaccine vectors;
B lymphocyte maturation;
Homeostasis of regulatory T cells (Treg) and mechanisms controlling experimental colitis;
