The main focus of our group is to understand the factors that modulate T cell differentiation, including the formation of memory T cells, and how this process can be regulated by cytokines and pathogen-derived molecules. The key research topics developed in the laboratory and in collaboration with other research groups in recent years include:

• Cytotoxic response mediated by T lymphocytes;
• MyD88-dependent signaling pathways in adaptive response;
• TLR receptors in trypanosomatid infections;
• Development of experimental vaccines using recombinant fd phages as vaccine vectors;
• B lymphocyte maturation;
• Homeostasis of regulatory T cells (Treg) and mechanisms controlling experimental colitis;
• Immune response to Zika virus (ZIKV).
