Mateus Godoy holds a degree in Biological Sciences: Microbiology and Immunology (UFRJ-2006), a Master’s in Food Science (UFRJ-2009), and a PhD in Biochemistry (UFRJ-2013), with a sandwich period at Aix-Marseille Université (France). He has expertise in Microbiology, with an emphasis on Industrial Microbiology and Fermentation/Bioprocesses. He holds 4 patent applications with the INPI, one of which has been granted a patent.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Microbiology Paulo de Góes, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Coordinator of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Microbial Ecology (LABEM), Deputy Coordinator of Biodiversity at UFRJ (CoordBio), Technical Advisor to the UFRJ Graduate and Research Pro-Rectorate (PR2/UFRJ), and participates in the committee of the Institutional Program for Scholarships in Technological Development and Innovation at UFRJ (PIBITI). Additionally, he serves as a member of the editorial board for Frontiers in Biocatalysis.
