She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Microbiology and Immunology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000), a Master’s degree in Clinical Bacteriology from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2003), and a PhD in Sciences from the Institute of Microbiology Paulo de Góes at UFRJ (2003-2007). In 2008, she began her postdoctoral research as a FAPERJ fellow (Recent PhD and PAPD), and in 2011, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary, Canada (CAPES fellow). She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Microbiology Paulo de Góes, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has experience in the areas of Bacteriology, Oral Microbiology, and Molecular Biology.
