Juliana Echevarria Neves de Lima

She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1998), a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000), a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004), and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Evandro Chagas National Institute of Infectiology – Fiocruz (2006). She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Immunology at the Institute of Microbiology Paulo de Góes at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has experience in Immunology, with an emphasis on Cellular Immunology, focusing mainly on the following topics: Study of the Immune Response Associated with HTLV-1 Infection and the Study of Proteins Associated with Multidrug Resistance (MDR) in Tumor and Normal Cells. She is currently the regional representative for the Southeast region of the Brazilian Society of Immunology.
